About Spatial Media Toolkit

I had recently lost my 11 year old Great Dane, Hercules when I went to the Apple Store to pick up my Vision Pro. I did the demo and was immediately struck by the spatial photos and videos. I wished I had taken more captures of my boy and set out to see if I could put some technology together to be able to see him again in 3D.

I was able to put together a system of advanced AI and image processing to convert photos and videos to 3D and save them as spatial formats recognized by Apple's Vision Pro as well as Meta Quest devices.

Spatial Media Toolkit launced a few weeks later to great reception. It's garnered over 500 ratings on the Vision Pro App Store, averaging 4.8 stars. People have reached out to me sharing stories of lost loved ones or childhood videos they've been able to step into and relive as if they're there.

Apple also featured Spatial Media Toolkit under The Best of Spatial Computing, and SMT continues to hold a spot atop the Photo and Video category list on the page. SMT has now also launched on iOS and macOS, so you can run your conversions while you're not in the headset.

Hercules is prominently featured on SMT's App Store screenshots.

Spatial Media Toolkit is built in Brooklyn, New York by one person. I'd love to hear from you, please reach out with any feedback or questions.
